Training & Accreditation Programs
Ultra-Tek prides itself on its world-leading instruments, but without quality training, the potential returns may never be fully realised, or extend your return on investment period.

As the only authorised training provider in Australia for ISO Certification in Airborne & Structure Borne Ultrasound [ASNT SNT-TC-1A, ISO: 18436-8 & 18436-3, UEQ-TC-1A] we provide key training programs, recognised worldwide, to enable ultrasonic instruments and technology to be used to their full potential, bringing you immediate results from your ultrasound program. These can be delivered on-site at your facility or at one of our designated training facilities across Australia.

UE Systems Product & Software Orientations Training [1 Day]
This one-day course is designed as the minimum start-up package for new clients. It will make users conversant with the many features of their Ultraprobe Instrument and also of the Data Management Software (DMS) and Spectralyzer diagnostic software platforms. It is delivered in a classroom style environment with a high level of hands-on practical work to embed the processes learned.
[Note: The Spectralyzer software is best suited for Ultraprobe UP10000 and Ultraprobe UP15000 Touch users]

UE Systems Ultrasound Overview & Applications Training [1 Day]
For clients that are already comfortable with the use of their Ultraprobe and software, this one day course specifically focuses on the Technology and Applications of Ultrasound. It will help users understand how ultrasound works, detail the many inspection techniques and contains plenty of case histories on applications from the five main focus areas:

-
Electrical Inspection
-
Leak Detection
-
Valve Inspection
-
Steam Trap Inspection
-
Bearing Inspection
It also contains a section on Condition Based Lubrication, using Ultrasound to optimise your lubrication program, delivering immediate returns to your program. This course is a 50:50 split between the traditional classroom style environment with a high level of hands-on practical work out in the plant to embed the processes learned.

UE Systems Technology Implementation Training-
Ultraprobe UP3000 & UP9000 [2 Day]

This two day course is the most popular of all our training programs for new purchasers of the Ultraprobe UP3000 and Ultraprobe UP9000 instruments.

It will jump-start your Ultrasonic Inspection Program by having knowledgeable Ultraprobe users targeting the right applications in the correct manner to achieve the best results. This delivers the most rapid return on investment and is highly recommended.

UE Systems Technology Implementation Training-
Ultraprobe UP10000 & UP15000 Touch [2 ½ Day]

This two and a half day course is the most popular of all our training programs for new purchasers of the Ultraprobe UP10000 and Ultraprobe UP15000 Touch instruments.

It will jump start your Ultrasonic Inspection Program by having knowledgeable Ultraprobe users targeting the right applications in the correct manner to achieve the best results. This delivers the most rapid return on investment and is highly recommended.

UE Systems Level I Ultrasound ISO Certification Training
Airborne & Structure Borne Ultrasound
[ASNT SNT-TC-1A, ISO: 18436-8 & 18436-3, UEQ-TC-1A]
[5 Day]

The effectiveness of airborne & structure borne ultrasound tests depends upon the capabilities of the personnel performing the inspections.

Certification is evidence that personnel performing airborne & structure borne ultrasonic testing possess knowledge and understanding of the test method, but also gives the inspector the skills required to perform the inspection at a high level of accuracy and repeatability.

In order to meet the requirements of ISO Cat 1 Certification, specific topics must be addressed in the classroom training. The recommended hours of instruction is 32 hours for Level I and a further 32 hours for Level II. In order to achieve official certification, classroom training meeting the requirements of SNT-TC-1A must be completed along with successfully passing the General, Specific and Practical Examination with a score of 80% or greater.

Documentation of education or experience must be maintained annually. Hearing acuity must meet the minimum requirement of one ear of less than 25dBHL at 500 Hz to 4 kHz (with or without aid.) Hearing acuity examinations must be documented annually.

UE Systems Level II Ultrasound ISO Certification Training
Airborne & Structure Borne Ultrasound
[ASNT SNT-TC-1A, ISO: 18436-8 & 18436-3, UEQ-TC-1A]

The Level II Training is an advanced version of Level I and is primarily designed for Condition Monitoring (CM) and Reliability Professionals, Program Managers and Engineers, amongst others.

In order to meet the requirements of ISO Cat 2 Certification, specific topics must be addressed in the classroom training. The recommended hours of instruction is 32 hours.
Students successfully completing this course are familiar with the scope and limitations of Airborne/Structure Borne Ultrasonic Inspection, are able to set up and verify equipment, interpret and evaluate results with respect to applicable codes, standards, and specifications, and organise and report inspection results.

An example of some of the areas of particular focus are:
Advanced Data Analysis, Writing and Establishing Procedures, Program Implementation, Criticality Analysis, Failure Mode Analysis, Data Management Software, Spectral Analysis Software and Time Wave Form Spectral Analysis
A General, Specific, and Practical test is given at the end of the course.
